clever
In school, Hermione was always top of her class, but her cleverness goes beyond book smarts. Books and facts are her comfort zone, but she can be very resourceful and think on her feet when needed, as well. She's good at putting together puzzles with small clues and little to go on.

determined
When Hermione puts her mind to something, she means to get it done. Whether the odds are stacked against her or the fates are on her side has no bearing on whether Hermione can get the job done. If she can't, it certainly won't be for any lack of trying. Hermione is the kind that will die on any given hill.

stubborn
Her determination goes hand in hand with her stubbornness. A simple, if a little silly, example of this was her refusal to let go of her S.P.E.W. idea even though everyone, including the large majority of house elves told her that it was a waste of time or was downright offensive to those she was intending to assist. Additionally, post-war, she's suffering some mild PTSD which she absolutely refuses to recognize for what it is and stubbornly has decided that she can walk it off, so to speak, if she just tries hard enough.

loyal
For her friends, Hermione would do anything. She would die for them and nearly has on more than one occasion. She'd lie for them, too, even though she hates to lie if it can be avoided. She'll put herself in a position wherein she is risking the friendship entirely to protect them and Hermione will fight like her life depends on it to protect her friends and their loved ones. Given her vast magical knowledge and natural talent, she can be incredibly dangerous to someone who makes the mistake of threatening the safety of someone she loves.

compassionate
Hermione has shown great compassion for beings that would otherwise not know it. Her attempt to show it toward the house elves at Hogwarts happened to backfire, as they found it offensive that she attempted to secretly free them, but her heart was in the right place. She loves with all of her heart and she shatters when her heart is broken.

Abilities: She can do magic if she has her wand with her. Nothing game-breaking (it's simple enough to assume that she cannot Apparate outside the setting, much the way Hogwarts made it impossible to Apparate in and out of its walls), but please let me know if you'd rather her have to earn the wand back rather than coming in with it in her bag given she nearly always carries it on her person (even when she's sleeping, these days).
